E-cards - AmericanGreetings.com

Most everyone is familiar with the brand American Greetings. If you've ever purchased a greeting card, there's a good chance that this company published it. What people may not be aware of is the fact that AmericanGreetings.com offers e-cards!

American Greetings was founded in 1906 and is currently the largest distributor and manufacturer of greeting cards and other occasional gift items. It also employs 18,000 people full time. Their products can be found in over 125,000 retail stores worldwide, and 70,000 in the United States alone!

Their website is packed with all kinds of neat features, like a free reminder service that will contact you just before a special occasion, printable greeting cards, a free online invitation service (which will notify your friends and family about a party or event that you've planned), and many other things.

The site is very easy to navigate, and clicking on the e-card tab at the top of the page will take you to an area that features popular e-cards and lists categories on the left-hand side.

The main categories available are Add-a-Photo, Anniversary, Baby, Birthday, Care & Concern, Celebrate The Date, Celebrate The Month, Celebrate The Week, Characters You Love, Congratulations, Disney, Family, Friendship, Good Bye/Good Luck, Holidays, Inspire & Encourage, Just Because, Life's Events, Looney Tunes, Love & Dating, Military, Nickelodeon, Pets, Religious, Spanish, Thank You, and Wedding.

Each of the main categories has sub-categories. So, let's say, for example, that you wanted to send a wedding related card. Once you get to that main category, you can choose cards in sub-categories, such as Congratulations, Announcements, Invitations, Religious, Reminders, Thank You, To Each Other, or Disney. In the main category of Characters You Love, you will find cards related to a bunch of different cartoon characters, like SpongeBob Squarepants and Mickey Mouse and Dora the Explorer.

Unfortunately, AmericanGreetings.com is not free. One must create a membership at the website, depending on the types of activies they want to participate in. There are currently 3 different membership levels. One is exclusively for sending e-cards. Another is for creating and printing paper cards. The third option encompasses both of the other two. All 3 are currently offering a 1 month free trial, but there is nothing on the site that describes how much the memberships are.

Despite the fact that this site is fee-based, a person is sure to find the perfect card for their loved ones, whether it's an e-card or a traditional one.
